"Project Fear" was LYING BS
1) NONE of the dire predictions of REMAINERS have come to pass.
2) There were always going to be temporary transitional problems, especially as the EU is so vile - currently impounding lorries because the paperwork is in the wrong colour ink or the driver hasn't got export documents for his packed lunch. COVID of course has massively added to these problems.
3) I rotate between England, France and Japan. I am somewhat inconvenienced by BREXIT, but so what. Monks and others travelled all over Europe during the Dark Ages and if the EU is making that difficult now it is only through sheer bloody-minded vindictiveness - and desperation.
4) Various EU countries are deliberately making things difficult for ex-pats. If this continues, they will be shooting themselves in the foot since we bring HUGE amounts of money to their holiday resorts and also otherwise near-deserted rural areas. The EU is like a dinosaur lashing out at its imaginary enemies in its death-throes. We are not the enemy of the EU; we simply don't want to be IN it. FFS, is that some sort of CRIME?
5) The EU needs UK trade more than vice versa as they have a SIXTY BILLION QUID TRADE SURPLUS WITH US. If they continue the way they are going they are going to see the Eu collapse even faster than it is already.
6) France and Germany are in terrible trouble through debt and social disorder; their arrogant, elitist, statist incompetence is accelerating their decline into chaos, out of which we are well off indeed.

7) My two sisters and two of my daughters live in England - one of the latter with her two small children. None has reported any food shortages or job losses - though both are to be expected given COVID and BREXIT. As for unemployment, pls check out the accompanying graphic and note that British manufacturing, exports, house prices and stock-market and City of London are all doing better than most of mainland Europe - and of course have not collapsed as REMAINERS predicted. An apology for the years of shrieking insults (including wishes for us to die out asap) would be appreciated.
